Our Roots
Uzima + Uzumi was created out of a desire to curate a resource for returning to everyday rituals of being that remind us we are alive, in a constant symbiotic relationship with ourselves, the planet, and humanity. We call in more honor to nature in our "modern" lives, in a world that feels like it is going through a rebirth that we have to not only survive, but participate in. With awareness, we can choose to replace the materials in our environment that pollute the earth, and instead become stewards of health and wellness for both ourselves and the planet. Sourcing sustainable materials and plastic free alternatives for everyday items, while also continuing the ritual wellness practices that have sustained our well being for centuries. Pulling knowledge from across Africa, Asia, and the Indigenous Americas we present to you tools to keep your spirit grounded and the vibrations high.
